CES 2026 Media Days: Tech’s Biggest Kickoff

Before the CES® show floor officially opens, some of the biggest names in tech unveil products, announce partnerships and share insights that shape the industry's conversation during CES Media Days. This exclusive, media-only event sets the stage for the world’s most powerful tech show, giving journalists, analysts and content creators a first look at the innovations that will define the year ahead.

This year’s lineup featured global tech leaders, including Bosch, Doosan Bobcat, Geely, Hisense, Hyundai, LG Electronics, Sony Honda and The LEGO Group. These brands hosted press conferences packed with announcements. Here’ just a small sampling:

  • Bosch debuted Cook AI, an intelligent new solution that combines agentic artificial intelligence, Bosch's proprietary appliance technologies, sensors and a unique user experience within the Home Connect app.  
  • Doosan Bobcat announced the Bobcat Jobsite Companion, a first-of-its-kind, AI-enabled feature for compact construction equipment. This prototype technology will provide real-time support and automation for everyday machine tasks. 
  • Geely Auto Group unveiled Full-Domain AI 2.0, Geely’s upgraded vehicle intelligence architecture, and G-ASD (Geely Afari Smart Driving) which will redefine the technical foundation of next-generation smart vehicles.
  • Hisense premiered the new RGB miniLED evo platform, adding a new primary color — sky blue — to its TVs.  
  • Hyundai showcased their Atlas robot from their Boston Dynamics subsidiary. Atlas has “human-scale hands” and 360-degree cameras. It’s water-resistant and can operate in temperatures as low as -4F. They also announced a partnership with Google DeepMind. 
  • LG’s CLOiD home robot shared the stage during their press conference, giving the audience of taste of how this specialized agent can act in the physical environment, working in harmony with appliances and systems to support daily life like folding laundry or loading the dishwasher.  
  • LEGO made waves with their new Smart Brick, a standard-sized 2x4 brick packed with tech that enables sets to respond to how they’re played with or the sets you build, plus a built-in speaker and LED lights. 
  • Sony Honda presented its vision for the future of mobility and AFEELA. The vehicle features advanced autonomous driving capabilities, an immersive in-cabin entertainment experience and deliveries are expected to begin later this year.

Media Days wasn’t just about product launches — it was about understanding the bigger picture. The Consumer Technology (CTA)® presented Tech Trends to Watch, offering insights into the research and trends shaping 2026 and beyond. CTA unveiled its U.S. Consumer Technology Industry Forecast, projecting the industry to reach $565 billion in revenue in 2026, growing 3.7% year over year.

While growth remained steady, challenges persisted — rising costs and supply chain disruptions hit smaller companies harder. Still, key segments thrived. Consumers leaned into software-driven value, subscription models and AI-powered experiences. Premium features and personalization became the name of the game.

CTA’s Tech Trends to Watch highlighted three forces shaping the next phase of consumer tech:

  1. Intelligent Transformation – AI became foundational across devices, platforms and services. 
  2. Longevity Technologies – Digital health and wellness tools accelerated as consumers prioritized longer, healthier lives. 
  3. Engineering Tomorrow – Electrification, mobility and energy management paved the way for infrastructure modernization. 

Immediately after the Tech Trends presentation, CES Unveiled Las Vegas gave media badge holders a sneak peek at more than 100 exhibitors and their groundbreaking innovations including the world’s first AI-combo drug AgentZ; Plaud’s wearable AI notetaker; Nosh, the AI powered robo-chef; Skeekar’s adorable AI pocket-sized pet; and Withings upgraded Body Scan 2.

The excitement continued Monday evening when AMD’s Dr. Lisa Su kicked off the CES keynote series. The room quickly reached capacity as attendees gathered to hear AMD and its partners unveil their vision for AI everywhere, for everyone.

Dr. Su discussed how the company’s portfolio of AI products and deep cross-industry collaborations are turning the promise of AI into real-world impact. She unveiled new AI-focused products, including the Ryzen AI 400 Series for next-gen AI PCs, the MI440X GPU for enterprise and the Ryzen AI Halo developer platform, emphasizing AI integration from data centers to edge devices and real-world applications with partners like OpenAI. She also provided an early look at its “Helios” rack-scale platform and announced a commitment of $150 million to bring AI into more classrooms and communities.
