Efficient introduces a new category of general-purpose computer processor, up to 100x more energy-efficient than leading, low-power CPUs on the market. Efficient’s Fabric architecture, a unique approach to general-purpose computation, eliminates energy overheads of general-purpose “von-Neumann” architectures. Class-defining energy efficiency enables battery-powered devices to last years, not weeks, and supports expanded on-device computing capabilities at the edge. The Fabric makes application development fast and easy, with developer-friendly support of mainstream and high-level programming languages and application frameworks (e.g., AI). Building on a decade of world-class research at Carnegie Mellon, Efficient is disrupting the space and driving unprecedented general-purpose computing efficiency.
