The History of CES Asia™

CES Asia was conceived by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® as a deliberate and strategic move: to establish a CES presence in Asia, where innovation, manufacturing and consumer adoption were accelerating at unprecedented speed. Shanghai was chosen with intention. As CTA President and CEO Gary Shapiro explained at the time, the city represented “the city of the future” — a global center of commerce and a gateway to the Chinese marketplace, which sits at the core of the global consumer technology industry.

CES Asia launched in May 2015 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre with more than 200 leading global brands, including Audi, IBM, Intel, Ford, JD.com, China Mobile and Volkswagen.

A Note to Our Customers

Please be aware that “CES Asia 2026” held at Beiren Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center, Beijing, China, is an event not in any way affiliated with CES. We are in the process of taking appropriate legal action against the organizers of this counterfeit event in cooperation with the local Chinese authorities. As a result, on June 12, 2026, the counterfeit “CES Asia 2026” was shut down by authorities. We understand the organizers running this event convinced some CES customers into believing it was an official CES event — we are sorry if any of our customers got caught up in this situation.

请注意，在中国北京北人亦创国际会展中心举办的、“2026亚洲消费电子展”与CES不存在任何关联。我方已联合中国当地主管部门，对该假冒展会的主办方依法采取法律行动。该假冒“2026亚洲消费电子展”活动已于2026 年 6 月 12 日被相关部门依法关停。我们获悉，该活动主办方误导部分 CES 客户，使其误以为此活动为我方官方活动。若各位客户因此受到困扰，我们深表歉意。
