Micky Adriaansens
Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, Netherlands


Micky Adriaansens (1964) is minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy of the Netherlands. The minister is a member of the government since 10 January 2022. Before her appointment she has served as a member of the Dutch Senate on behalf of the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). Mrs. Adriaansens had a career in consultancy as chairman of the board of Dutch company Twijnstra Gudde. Previously she served as director in the health care sector and as a lawyer. In her role as minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy Mrs. Adriaansens focusses on entrepreneurship, innovation, digitization and sustainability to remain the Netherlands as an attractive place for business.
 
Aleisha Woodward
Chargé d’Affaires ad interim, U.S. Mission The Netherlands

Aleisha Woodward, a career member of the U.S. Senior Foreign Service, became Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the U.S. Mission to the Netherlands on July 4, 2022.
 
Since joining the Department of State in 1998, Aleisha has focused on engaging diverse audiences across Europe and Asia and empowering people-to-people connections to promote democratic values, economic development, and other national security priorities.  Aleisha’s most recent assignment was as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) in Washington D.C., overseeing strategic planning and policy coordination of ECA’s more than 100 educational and professional exchange programs.  In that role she also created the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, now being implemented by U.S. embassies in more than 90 countries, and led the U.S. government’s efforts to preserve cultural heritage around the world.
 
Gary Shapiro
President and CEO, Consumer Technology Association

Gary Shapiro is president and CEO of the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, the U.S. trade association representing more than 2,200 consumer technology companies and which owns and produces CES®  – The Global Stage for Innovation.

Shapiro directs a staff of about 200 employees and thousands of industry volunteers, leading his organization’s promotion of innovation as a national policy to spur the economy, create jobs and cut the deficit. CTA advocates for a lower deficit, skilled immigration, free trade and policies that support innovative new business models. CTA does not seek government funding for industry.

Shapiro is a New York Times bestselling author, whose books include “Ninja Future: Secrets to Success in the New World of Innovation” (HarperCollins, 2019), “Ninja Innovation: The Ten Killer Strategies of the World’s Most Successful Businesses” (HarperCollins, 2013) and “The Comeback: How Innovation will Restore the American Dream” (Beaufort, 2011). Through these books and television appearances, and as a columnist whose more than 1,000 opinion pieces have appeared in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Washington Post, Shapiro has helped direct policymakers and business leaders on the importance of innovation in the U.S. economy. He is considered an “influencer” on LinkedIn and has more than 300,000 followers.
 
Enass Abo-Hamed
Co-Founder and CEO, H2GO Power


Enass is the co-founder and CEO at H2GO power ltd; an award winning spin-out company from the University of Cambridge developing energy storage technologies. She completed her PhD at Cambridge University, where she also was a postdoctoral fellow and elected Cambridge University Energy Champion. Currently she is also a member of the Advisory Board at BeyondNetZero's General Atlantic Growth Fund and a Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellow.
 
She has 11 years of research and business experience in hydrogen production & storage, catalysis, renewable energy and energy storage. Enass is passionate about climate entrepreneurship and clean energy technology policy. She often gives keynote speeches at international forums and participates in high impact round table discussions on clean energy, energy security and women entrepreneurship in tech.
 
Enass won few recognition awards and grants to support the development of H2GO Power and recently won the visionary of the year award by MIT Tech Review Innovators Under 35 Europe, the best energy start-up award at the Global Hello Tomorrow Summit and others. In 2015, she was selected by the Cartier women's initiative awards as one in 18 best women entrepreneurs globally and one in 3 representing Europe. She travelled to Africa, China and central Asia on government-supported partnership missions, delivered high-level keynote speeches and recommendations about clean energy technologies as a tool to combat climate.
 

Christian Bogatu
Entrepreneur and Investor


Christian is a serial entrepreneur and investor. He advises the German Federal Agency for Disruptive Innovation (www.sprind.org), identifying and supporting innovators with radical ideas with a billion Euro budget. Since 2018, Christian also serves as Venture Partner for Eurazeo/Idinvest Partners, the largest EU based Venture Capital fund, investing in cleantech startups. From 2017 until 2020 he was co-founder and CEO of Fresh Energy, generating unparalleled insights based on smart meter data, before selling Fresh Energy to EWE end of 2020. From 2011 until 2017 he was co-founder and managing director of KIWI (www.kiwi.ki), building a city-scale handsfree access-as-a-service system. Prior to KIWI, he co-founded Kirsen Global Security in the Silicon Valley that became global leader in container security and exclusive provider for DB Schenker. 

Betsy Lindsey
Financial Advisor and Investor

Betsy is a financial advisor and investor with a great passion for innovation and deep-tech. In the United States and Hong Kong, she worked in banking with technology startups and scaleups at Silicon Valley Bank and Wells Fargo Bank.  She holds a Technology MBA from University of Washington, Seattle, WA, U.S.A.  In total, she brings over 20 years of international high-tech finance management and investment experience to the table.

After settling in the Netherlands, Betsy was the Managing Director of Investor Relations at HighTechXL, a deep tech venture builder based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, where she guided over 50 teams through the fundraising process and growth phase of their development.  Finally in 2019, Betsy found a start that matched her passion for making a difference.  Together with colleauges at HighTechXL, she founded Aircision, serving in the role of Chief Financial Officer to “Connect the Unconnected.”
 
Ali Niknam
Founder and CEO of bunq

Ali Niknam (1981), born in Canada but from Iranian descent, grew out to be the de-facto innovator in the financial sector, bringing diversity to the banking industry. He set up his first company when he was just 16 years old. In his early twenties he founded TransIP, the third largest domain name and web hosting provider in the world. In 2012 he set out to change the banking industry radically and founded bunq.
 
Ali managed to get the first European banking permit in over 35 years and, as its sole investor, invested €98.7M in bunq. In a deal with British private equity firm Pollen Street Capital, bunq has raised €193 million and the company’s valuation soars to €1.6 billion, as of July 2021. As part of the deal, bunq acquired Capitalflow Group, a privately held Irish lending company with strong ties to the Irish community. In 2022, bunq acquired a Belgian fintech TriCount, a move that made bunq the second largest neobank in the EU.

 
Melissa O Leary
Sales Enablement Lead, Nowi

After spending several years as a specialist in marketing Fast Moving Consumer Goods products and brands, Melissa brought her expertise to the semiconductor industry by joining Nowi’s marketing department as Sales Enablement Lead in the start of 2021. Passionate about fascinating products and brand building as a field, she has been in charge of implementing successful global partner marketing campaigns, organising global event participation and developing digital presence to raise awareness around energy harvesting and Nowi’s unique selling proposition. She is an enthusiastic and passionate person who is fascinated by Nowi’s vision of ensuring a sustainable future of electronics!
 
Sabine Stuiver
CMO and Co-Founder, Hydraloop


Sabine Stuiver is the CMO and co-founder of Hydraloop. A thought and change leader, influencing and mobilizing stakeholders to collaborate on sustainability. She is a Policy Advisory Committee Member at WaterEurope, serial entrepreneur with a strong international network and a frequent keynote speaker. Featured in the Netflix documentary ‘Brave Blue World’ and awarded the European Union's EU-TOP50 2020 Award for ‘Female Entrepreneur for a Sustainable Innovation’.

Hydraloop is a multi-award-winning venture that designs and produces decentralized, consumer-friendly, IoT-connected, compact and scalable greywater recycling products for residential and commercial real estate, reducing water consumption by up to 45 percent.
 
Hydraloop globally launched at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in 2020 in Las Vegas, where it was awarded multiple awards, including the overall ‘Best of the Best’ award. In a recent Netflix documentary “Brave Blue World,” the company is featured as one of the key solutions to solve the worldwide water crisis.
 
Hydraloop has a global partner network of more than 140 partners in 50+ countries. Headquartered in the Netherlands, the company has offices in the United States and Middle East, as well as business teams in Canada and Australia.

 
Dr. Diana van Stijn
Pediatric Resident, Amsterdam UMC


Diana van Stijn M.D. PhD (1987) is a pediatric resident who works at the Amsterdam UMC, The Netherlands. Dr. Van Stijn is the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Lapsi Health, a Digital Biomarker development company located in The Netherlands. She is the lead of Innovation and Medical strategy of the company, creating new digital biomarkers that will reshape clinical decision making, support patient empowerment and enable proper digital clinical research.

She is also a leading expert on digital therapeutics (DTx) and is a faculty member of the DTxcellence program, a first of its kind digital education initiative for medical and non-medical professionals that want to learn Digital Therapeutics and other important concepts of Digital Health.

Dr. van Stijn received her PhD in Pediatrics investigating Kawasaki disease and the COVID-related new emerging pediatric disease called MIS-C. Dr. Van Stijn believes in the democratization of healthcare and the empowerment of women in Healthcare and Health-Tech.
 
John T. Kelley
Vice President and Acting Show Director, CES


As Vice President and Acting Show Director for CES, John oversees many elements of CES including Operations and Conferences. Prior to serving in this role, he served as the Senior Director of International Programs and oversaw many of international focused initiatives for CTA and CES. From 2014-2020, he served as the Show Director for CES Asia that convened in Shanghai, China from 2015-2019. In 2013, John was named Dealerscope’s 40 under 40 for the consumer electronics industry.
 
Soukaina Adnane-Murphy
Founder, Onera Health


Soukaina is an entrepreneur passionate about technology and healthcare.

Coming from a technical background, she spent the last decade working in wearable technologies and medical devices.

Soukaina aims is to bring meaningful, innovative technologies to people regardless of their socioeconomic and geographical backgrounds. Her ambition took her from Morocco to France, the Czech Republic, Taiwan and now the Netherlands, where she is Founder at Onera Health.

At Onera Health, she oversees Design, Communication and Branding. Prior to that, she was an Entrepreneur in Residence at imec research institute.

Soukaina holds a Master’s Degree in Materials and Technical Textiles from ENSAIT, France.

Victoria Bunyard
CTO, IBM Northern Europe


Vicky Bunyard is the CTO for IBM Northern Europe, she has a background in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture and Technology Transformation. She firmly believes that technology can be ‘the answer’, but only when we truly understand ‘the question’ - and that it is not about how great the tech is, but about how great we can be when we are backed by great tech.

Lesley Rohrbaugh

Lesley Rohrbaugh is Director of Market Research at Consumer Technology Association (CTA). Lesley is responsible for leading, coordinating and executing aspects of consumer, B2B and strategic research programs (international and domestic) across all technology categories at CTA, as well as developing overall research strategy and project planning. Lesley has led research teams for several major corporate and non-profit brands, is a frequent speaker and keynote at many industry events, and was recently on the board for the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Insights Association. She was also recently named to Dealerscope’s 2022 “40 Under 40” list honoring top young leaders within the consumer technology space. Lesley holds degrees in psychology, sociology and behavioral statistics from Virginia Tech.
 
Yosef Safi Harb
