With a single device, users can work smarter without sacrificing mobility, functionality or style. Lenovo’s Tom Butler offers behind-the-scenes insights.

Lenovo is back this year at CES with a strong story to tell about power computing for the high-performance sole proprietor or small business. In addition to sleek style, the ThinkBook works hard, doing double duty as a laptop, tablet and more. The objective is to empower individuals, as well as small-to-medium-sized businesses, with a new way to work via a device built for a growing hybrid workforce. Tom teases what’s ahead at CES in episode 11, Lenovo ThinkBook: AI Inside, Style Outside, of the CES Tech Talk podcast series.

Takeaways

  • Beyond extensive research and development, ThinkBook design was heavily informed by feedback from user communities and online surveys

  • AI augments the ThinkBook Plus line – the devices are designed to become more aware of how and why they’re being used, and can adjust dynamically based on the user’s needs

  • Considering how tech consumers work today, and as remote work evolves, Lenovo equipped the ThinkBook Plus line with a unique display on the outer laptop lid so that, when it’s closed, the laptop functions as a tablet

  • Lenovo is sensitive to users’ wellbeing, as well as to sustainability – devices are eye-safe certified and the company is, among other initiatives, going plastics-free in packaging

They Said It

There's a running joke in my household that I'm living in the future because I really never know what year I'm in at the time because I'm always focused two to three years, four years out. So even while we're sitting in the beginnings of '23, I'm focused on '25, 2026.
