Katherine started Strella while studying molecular biology at Penn when she read that 40% of food goes to waste before it's consumed. She used her bio background to figure out a way to detect shelf life in produce. To date, Strella has monitored over 2B pounds of fruit and saved over 20M pounds from going to waste.
