Karen is Executive Director of Metro21: Smart Cities Institute and interim Executive Director of Safety21, USDOT University Transportation Center, at Carnegie Mellon. Ranked by EETimes as one of the top 25 “Women in Tech,” she is a leader in building and supporting communities based on emerging technologies. Karen is the proud mother of two adults and lives in Pittsburgh with her husband and dog.
