Safety and Security at CES

Your safety and security is important to us. For CES 2023, we continue to implement enhanced security measures. Here is what you can expect and should prepare for as you plan your CES experience.

Registration Requirements

  • A unique, verifiable email address is required for each registrant.
  • CES badges include a photo ID for attendees, exhibitors and media.
  • Date of birth will again be required in line with guidance from federal law enforcement and industry best practices.
  • You must present a government-issued photo ID to pick up your badge on-site.
Tips to Speed Up Your Entrance

To speed entrance at all venues, we strongly encourage everyone to:

  • Register online
  • Pick up your badge at the airport or select hotels before arriving at a CES exhibit venue. Badge pickup will not be available at CES exhibit venues.
  • Leave luggage, large bags and bulky clothing at your hotel.
  • Plan ahead. Allow extra time to enter show venues and arrive at meetings and events.

Security App

This year, we will use Titan HST as the CES 2023 on-site security app. Use the Titan app to submit tips, call venue security or receive emergency alerts. Download Titan, the app we use for on-site security for all show attendees, staff and vendors, and sign up with site code “CES.”

Bag Search and Restrictions

We will have bag search at the entrance to all show venues. All bags are subject to search and metal wand screening. In addition:

  • Attendees may carry two small bags, each smaller than 12”x17”x6” into show venues.

  • Attendees are encouraged to consider their bag type and use clear bags (mesh, plastic, vinyl, etc.) to expedite entry.

  • Rolling bags of any size are prohibited including luggage, carry-ons, laptop and computer bags, and rolling luggage carts.

For Media

Media with an official media badge are permitted to hand-carry equipment onto show premises in excess of our two-bag restriction. This equipment is subject to search and tagged as approved for entry.

For Exhibitors

Exhibitors are permitted to bring product and display material onto CES show premises in excess of our two-bag restriction, beginning Jan. 4 and prior to 8 AM on show days Jan. 5-8.

Exhibitor freight is also subject to search at the advance warehouse marshalling yard and at show venues.

Bag-Check Facilities

We encourage you to leave your bags at your hotel. However, we do offer bag-check facilities:

  • LVCC outside of Central and West Halls
  • Venetian Expo, Level 1 Lobby
  • Venetian Ballroom Foyer

Highly Visible Law Enforcement Presence

At CES 2023, you will notice a highly visible law enforcement presence throughout the show and at all venues. Law enforcement officers and K9 (dog) units will be at both the entrances to the venues and on the exhibit floor. We will be performing random security checks on show premises.

Vehicle Deterrence Measures

As an enhanced security measure, we are implementing a vehicle deterrence plan in and around key venues. Please use the areas allocated as pedestrian walkways as you enter show venues.

Contacting CES Security

If you see something suspicious, please report it to CES via the security phone numbers printed on the back of your CES badge. Our venue security numbers may also be found on the On-Site Services page. You can also ask any CES staff member or venue or security personnel.

You may contact CES Security or venue security through the CES App in the Security section.

Also, please make sure that you family and friends know how to reach you in the case of emergency.

Please contact CESops@CTA.tech with any questions.
