Paul Melin

VP, Digital Media, Nokia Technologies

Paul Melin is vice president responsible for Media Technologies at Nokia Technologies, working with the world's leading manufacturers to help them integrate Nokia innovations such as OZO Audio into their devices. Paul joined Nokia in 2004, first heading technology strategy for the device business and later taking responsibility for patent licensing and all intellectual property matters for Nokia. In 2014, he moved to Silicon Valley to lead the new Digital Media business in Nokia Technologies. He oversaw the creation of the innovative OZO VR camera and related content creation & delivery solution, building the foundation for today’s licensing of media technologies by Nokia. Before joining Nokia in 2004, Paul spent seven years with McKinsey & Company as a management consultant advising clients primarily in the technology and telecommunications sectors on strategy, organization and operational issues. Paul has a Master's degree in Industrial Management and Engineering from Helsinki University of Technology. His interests outside work include playing ice hockey.
