Alexandria Sage is the San Francisco-based automotive technology correspondent for Reuters, covering industry innovation as self-driving cars inch towards reality. Her coverage includes Tesla and its manufacturing ambitions, robotaxi rollouts from Waymo and Cruise, and the challenges facing global automakers and Tier One suppliers navigating an uncertain new landscape. Previously, Alexandria was in Paris for Reuters covering politics, terrorism – including the 2015 Charlie Hebdo attacks – justice, and even fashion and film. Other top stories include recent wildfires in California, the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting and the BP oil spill in Louisiana.
