John Bozzella

President and CEO, Alliance for Automotive Innovation

John Bozzella is a veteran auto industry executive and is the president and CEO of Alliance for Automotive Innovation, the singular, clear and respected voice of the automotive industry, united in a goal of a safer, smarter, cleaner future. Bozzella is leading the Association and its members through a time of fundamental transformations and transitions: the reaction to globalization, the electrification of vehicles, and the development of autonomous and connected vehicles that promises to revolutionize personal transportation. Before coming to the Association in 2014, Bozzella served as a Senior Operating Executive for Cerberus Operations and Advisory Company, LLC, where he worked with the firm and its portfolio companies on a range of public policy and economic development matters. Prior to Cerberus, Bozzella spent nearly 20 years in the auto sector in senior positions at both Ford Motor Company, Chrysler, DaimlerChrysler and Chrysler Group. He was a key player in mobilizing government support to significantly restructure Chrysler back in 2009. Early in his career, Bozzella served as New York City's director of state legislative affairs under Mayor David N. Dinkins. He is a graduate of Cornell University.
