Jennifer Harder

Senior Director for Product, First Responder Network Authority, FirstNet

Dr. Jennifer Harder is the Senior Director of Products with the First Responder Network Authority. The First Responder Network Authority is the independent agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce chartered to help create, maintain and evolve the nation’s public safety network, called FirstNet. In this role, she leads a team focused on providing information and gathering feedback on existing services and solutions within the FirstNet ecosystem, and works across the agency and industry to foster innovation in the public safety communications and technology marketplace. Before her work at the First Responder Network Authority, Jennifer spent 12 years with SAIC and also served as the Administrative Sergeant for the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue K9 Unit, training and deploying three of her own search and rescue dogs while leading the training and evaluation effort for numerous other volunteer teams. She served as a Disaster and Emergency Preparedness Educational Coordinator for Scripps Health in San Diego, CA, and as a Police Communications Specialist for the Broomfield Police Department in Broomfield, CO. Jennifer holds a Ph.D. and Master of Science degrees in Experimental Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi, as well as Bachelor of Science degrees in Biological Sciences and Zoology from Colorado State University.
