Anuja Sonalker


Dr. Anuja Sonalker is the founder and CEO of STEER, which develops driverless technologies at the intersection of cybersecurity and ADAS. Prior to STEER, Dr Sonalker led market penetration as V.P of Engineering and Operations at TowerSec (acquired by Harman) and led both scientific breakthroughs and later successful commercialization of Battelle’s automotive cybersecurity portfolio. Dr. Sonalker is the Co-Chair of ISO 21434: Automotive Cybersecurity Framework, and Vice Chair of the SAE Vehicle Cybersecurity Systems Engineering. Dr. Sonalker serves on the Clark School of Engineering Board of Visitors (Univ. of Maryland College Park) and on the Board of the Howard County Economic Development Authority. Dr Sonalker has served on various review committees including ESCAR Conference, IEEE Security & Privacy Conference, and speaks regularly at various summits and events globally. Dr. Sonalker received her PhD from the University of Maryland, College Park in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She resides in Ellicott City, Maryland with her husband and two sons and is committed to developing our next generation workforce and mentors young women and high school children to pursue careers in engineering.
