FCC Chairman Pai and Commissioners Carr, Clyburn, O'Reilly and Rosenworcel to Speak at CES 2018

New York, NY – 11/09/2017 – The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) today announced that Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai will attend CES® 2018, his sixth consecutive year at CES and first as chairman. Chairman Pai will join CTA President and CEO Gary Shapiro for a candid discussion on connectivity, spectrum issues, Next Gen TV, developments in broadband and competition policy, and a recap of the chairman’s impactful first year. Owned and produced by CTA, CES 2018 returns to Las Vegas, Nev., Jan. 9-12, 2018.

“We are excited to have FCC Chairman Pai kick off the new year by sharing his regulatory agenda for 2018,” said Shapiro. “This is an excellent opportunity for CES attendees to hear about the challenging issues the FCC is tackling, including the allocation of additional spectrum licensed and unlicensed bands to power consumers' growing demand for anytime/anywhere connectivity and expanding broadband access and digital opportunity to all Americans.”

As part of CES 2018’s Innovation Policy conference track, FCC Commissioners Brendan Carr, Mignon Clyburn, Michael O'Reilly and Jessica Rosenworcel will join what has become tech tradition at CES – a roundtable discussion on hot policy topics, such as 5G, broadband deployment, accessibility and much more.

CES 2018 is the global stage for innovation and will span more than 2.6 million net square feet of exhibit space and feature more than 3,900 exhibiting companies unveiling technologies, products and services that touch every industry, including the content industry.
