Guidelines for using the CES mobile and desktop app

Mobile App (Available Now) 


Whether you are attending the live show in Las Vegas or the digital show, the official CES app has everything you need to plan for and navigate the show, including:

  1. Build your personalized agenda based on your interests
  2. Setup meetings, network and chat with exhibitors, speakers and industry leaders
  3. Watch keynotes and select conference sessions live and on demand
  4. Navigate the show floor with interactive maps, transportation info and other useful tools

Missed a keynote or a session? Our app will allow you to watch keynotes, sessions and visit digital exhibits on demand through the end of January.

Desktop App (Available January 3, 2022)

The desktop app will launch on the first day of CES. Similar to the mobile app, all attendees - in-person and virtual - will have access to view agendas, keynotes and more.

Press Attendees: Please note that press conferences will be available exclusively through the desktop app. 

Mobile App (Available Now) 


The app is available for Android and iOS devices, and it can be downloaded from the Google Play and Apple App Store. Users will need to ensure that they have installed Android 6 (released October 2015) or above, or iOS 13 (released September 2019) or above in order to ensure full app functionality.

Desktop App (Available January 3, 2022) 

The desktop app is available through your browser and is exclusively for desktop devices. 
 

Chats will be monitored during live events and our proctors will be focusing on ensuring the shared experience is positive for all attendees. Chats outside of live events are subject to the same rules; if you experience any violations by other CES participants, please notify CTA. Our rules follow common sense, basic etiquette, and rules of civility.  

  1. No abusive or threatening language of any kind will be tolerated. 
  2. No attacks against someone’s race, religion, politics, sex, sexual orientation will be tolerated. 
  3. No obscene, vulgar or offensive language will be tolerated 
  4. No spamming/solicitation– message traffic will be monitored, and users will be blocked if they are found to be in violation  
  5. Please use plain language (i.e. type out Facebook rather than fcbk). Avoid shouting (all CAPS).
  6. Be respectful when addressing the chat.
  7. No posting of links or other non-CES content to the chat.

Digital attendees will have access to exhibitors, conference sessions, networking opportunities, keynotes and product announcements from the live event.

How can I plan my CES 2022 experience using the app? 

Use the schedule icon in the mobile or desktop app to explore the full line-up of available keynotes, conference sessions and other events. Build your personal schedule for each day of CES by adding events to the calendar in 'My Schedule.'
 


How can I chat with other attendees and exhibitors? Can I set up meetings with them? 

Before the event even starts, you can use the Explore section of the app to find people you want to meet and to view their attendee profiles. From there, it’s easy to message anyone privately and plan meetings using your personal calendar, or to contact companies and speakers for a one-to-one chat.

CES Sign-in Issue

If you recieve an CES account error during sign-in, first consult our account support FAQs. If you're still unable to login through the CES account, please contact customerservice@CTA.tech.
 

I'm not receiving password reset emails.

Please check your spam folder to see if the emails were directed there. All password support messages will be sent by accounts at the following domains: @cesaccount.com and @oktamail.cesaccount.com. If you do not find these messages in your account, please add the domains to your contacts whitelist. 

 

Desktop app Java Error

If you encouter a Java error while using the web app, please contact customer support by emailing CustomerService@CTA.tech  or calling 866-233-7968 (U.S.) or +1 703-907-7605 (Outside U.S.).

I can’t sync my contacts / social media profiles

To add to the networking experience, attendees have the option to connect their device contacts and social media profiles (Facebook and Twitter) with the mobile app. Please ensure you have given the mobile app sufficient permissions to access the device contacts and has not dismissed or disabled permissions. If this has happened, youwill need to adjust and/or toggle their device security settings.

Note: This step is not mandatory and can be skipped at any time by clicking ‘X’ at the top of the screen.

Registration Process

You may register for both the in-person and digital events via our registration portal

Please have the following information available at the time of registration:

  • CES Account: Registrants will use their existing CES/CTA Accounts and sign in or create a new account using your CES account.
  • Headshot Photo: All in-person registrants will be required to upload a photo at the time of registration. Registrants will not be able to bypass this option like previous years.
  • Date of Birth: All in-person registrants will be required to provide their date of birth.
  • Gender: Registrants will be asked to provide their gender.
  • Proof of Industry Affiliation

Registration Pricing

As of December 9, in-person registration pricing starts at $300.  Digital registration pricing is $150 from December 9 to January 3. The cost will increase to $300 on January 4.

Alumni Pricing 

Past attendees are eligible for discount pricing at future events. Alumni pricing for CES 2022 is now closed, and in-person registration for alumni is the standard $300 as of December 9, 2021. 

Who may attend CES?

CES is a trade-only event for individuals 18 years of age or older and affiliated with the consumer technology industry. CES is not open to the public. Family, friends and children will not be permitted to attend CES. Registrants must submit proof of industry affiliation to attend. Credentials will be reviewed within ten business days of submission. Registrants can find the status of their credential by signing into their Registration Dashboard.

If you have encountering errors in your credential upload, please ensure that you meet the attendance requirements.


What is accepted for proof of industry affiliation?

The following are accepted forms of documentation:
  • Business card that matches the name of the company you are representing and includes your name.
  • Verification of your employment on company letterhead.
  • Link to your company website showing your name on an employee roster.
  • Link to recent media article (print, digital, broadcast) that you wrote or in which you were quoted or cited as an industry professional; article must be published within the last year.

All registrants will be required to upload a photo during registration. Photos can be pulled from a users LinkedIn Profile, directly from the device, or via webcam. Do not upload pictures that are offensive or explicit. Photo should be clear and free of distracting background and zoomed in to the face. Avoid using photos with hats or other accessories that distract from the face. Photo should be a color photo 2 mb or less. Only .JPEG, or .PNG files will be accepted.

Cancellations for paid registrations received in writing by December 14, 2021 are refundable, less a $25 processing fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after December 14, 2021. If you do not cancel by December 14, 2021 and do not attend the Event, you are still responsible for payment. All cancellation requests should be sent to CESreg@CTA.tech

Substitutions will not be granted for credentialed attendee or media registrants.

Event Logistics

Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination 

All CES 2022 in-person attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination in order to pick up badges and enter show venues.

Updated Badge Pick-up Requirements

To maintain social distancing, on-site badge pick-up is limited for CES 2022. You may not pick up a badge for another attendee. We offer a number of locations for you to pick up your badge. All attendees are encouraged to pick up their badges early to avoid delays.

CES secures rooms at a selection of Las Vegas hotels and uses the reservation booking site powered by onPeak, the only official housing agent for CES 2022. Registrants can use the service to make individual or group hotel bookings.

How do I get around Las Vegas? 

There are several transportation options available to CES attendees, including hotel shuttles, Express Venue Transportation, the Las Vegas monorail and more.

How do I navigate the show floor? 

Use the show floor map (also available in the app) to find exhibitors' booths. 

Each year, CES attracts participants from around the world. To learn more about services for international attendees, including information about travel and visas for those planning to travel to CES in-person, please review our information for international attendees.

In-person attendees at CES can choose between two ticket options:

  • The Exhibits Plus Pass includes access to the show floor and select conference programming, or 
  • The Deluxe Conference Pass includes everything from Exhibits Plus and access to four full days of conference programming.*

All in-person attendees will also recieve access to the Digital All-Access pass.

CES is excited to offer all registered in-person attendees access to the great line up of speakers and sessions (100+) we have planned as part of our on-site conference program. If you previously purchased a conference pass, your refund will be processed automatically after CES.
