CES Unveiled in Amsterdam, the Netherlands

Your safety, security and health are important.

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)® will continue to review the coronavirus safety recommendations and guidelines issued by the Netherlands and the European Union. CTA will adapt CES Unveiled plans accordingly and share updates with its audiences. 

We will update this page regularly as protocols change so you know what to expect for CES Unveiled in Amsterdam. Last updated October 4, 2021.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT CES UNVEILED IN AMSTERDAM 

 
Health Screenings and Services 

  • EU Digital Covid Certificate (CoronaCheck)


You must present the EU Digital Covid Certificate (DCC), along with your ID, for entry.  
 
Attending locally from the Netherlands: You can receive this digital certificate through the CoronaCheck app. Once your app is scanned at the entrance, you will be granted access if you have tested negative, have been fully vaccinated or have recovered from COVID-19. 

  • Traveling from outside EU:  If you are traveling from outside Europe without access to an approved DCC app, make sure you are tested within 24h of accessing the RAI venue. 
 
You may attend with a negative result from a test that has been performed no more than 24 hours prior to the event, and you must present with your ID. Or you may print a paper EU Digital Covid Certificate, and present this certificate along with your ID. Dutch nationals can print the certificate from the website CoronaCheck.nl 
 
COVID-19 testing will be available on-site.  
 
  • Face masks are not mandatory for this event, but attendees are encouraged to wear them if they feel more comfortable doing so.  

Healthy Venue 
 
  • For flow through areas within the venue without fixed seating, visitor capacity is maximized at 75% in accordance with local guidelines to promote visitor safety and distancing.  

Conference Area Spacing 
 
  • Conference programming will take place in the auditorium with full visitor capacity limit in accordance with local guidelines. Adequate arrangements will be provided for attendees who are more comfortable with spaced seating. 

Exhibition and Networking Precautions 
 
  • Exhibitor tabletops have been set with additional spacing between them and have been arranged to allow for proper flow and distancing among our attendees during the networking portion of the program.  
 
Food and Beverage Precautions 
 
  • In catered areas, there is a 75% capacity limit in accordance with local guidelines.    
 
Healthy Habits 
 
  • We strongly advise any participants experiencing symptoms of a cold or illness to please stay home and not attend CES Unveiled in Amsterdam. 
  • Hand sanitizing gel is available throughout the venue at entrances and food stations, as well as signage to promote safety and distancing.  
     
 
RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EXHIBITORS 

 
  • Exhibitors are encouraged to provide hand sanitizer for their tabletop and to frequently wipe down any high touch products or surfaces that are part of their demo.
