Chris O'Reilly

Christopher O’Reilly is the Co-Founder and Executive Creative Director of Nexus Studios, based in London and Los Angeles.

He leads creative development and strategy across the company where output spans both film and interactive experiences.  Their work includes Oscar nominated shorts films, Cannes Grand Prix winning commercials, and Grammy nominated music videos. Their clients include the likes of Google, Facebook and Apple and artists including U2, Calvin Harris, Franz Ferdinand and The Rolling Stones. 

Under Chris’ leadership, the studio has become one of the world’s leading independent animation and interactive studios.  

Nexus has a long collaboration with Google’s Made with Code initiative to encourage girls to code. They have explored VR storytelling for Google Spotlight. Their extensive AR portfolio includes a BAFTA nominated experience for the Gruffalo and a much publicized AR project for President Obama and the White House. They recently launched an AR character navigation app Hotstepper and are working on new projects for the cultural, entertainment and music industries including the BBC and the Smithsonian. 

Chris regularly speaks to audiences around the world on topics including the future of storytelling, and immersive technology.  In 2017 Chris was recognised by Creative Review as one of the UK's top 50 Creative leaders.
