Vinayak Tanksale

Vinayak Tanksale is a faculty member in the Computer Science department at BallState University and the Chief Software Architect’s of the University’s AppliedResearch Institute. He has been a faculty fellow in the University’s Center for MediaDesign.  Vinayak has been the technical lead on various interactive media projects.He has successfully developed interactive applications for mobile devices and theMicrosoft Surface.  Vinayak has been a member of the inter-disciplinary iMediaproject (interactive interface design) since it’s beginning.  An interactive news andadvertising application developed by iMedia in 2009 was named first runner up inthe AT&T Big Mobile on Campus competition.  He is the recipient of six EmergingMedia Innovation grants from Ball State.  The US Army Research Laboratory,Channel One, Rockwell Collins, and Ontario Systems have funded his research insoftware engineering, media delivery, and computer security.  He is exploring howbehavior based technologies and algorithms can help seniors age in their ownhomes
