In an ever-changing medium of communication, Peggy has spent her career helping companies understand how innovative technology will help them navigate the flood of change so they can remain viable and competitive. She take great pride in having launched one of the most formative media companies more than 20 years ago.

As a speaker, strategist, and futurist Peggy has been very fortunate to be part of ushering in the M2M/IoT (Internet of Things) and security era and taking a leading role in helping companies grasp how technology will alter their direction.

She has enjoyed a career as an award-winning journalist with a long history of covering IoT, manufacturing, and construction technology. In 2008, and now 500-plus episodes later, The Peggy Smedley Show, has become a must-listen-to broadcast for industry execs every Tuesday at 12 noon central. 

During the past two decades Peggy has helped write or collaborate on eight published books including her own, Mending Manufacturing: How America Can Manufacture its Survival, a book detailing all aspects of the American manufacturing crisis.

Peggy takes great pride in that she has been involved in fostering IoT innovation through Connected World and Constructech magazines. With the help of a very supportive team, her company has been able to take risks and invest in many areas making them an innovative tech leader.

Building on that success, Peggy recently introduced Constructech TV , a Web-based dynamic video program, educating contractors and builders on the most essential solutions for the office and the jobsite.

Now that IoT has entered our daily lives making everything connected, she launched the Peggy Smedley Institute, a top-ranked professional education organization in 2016 to provide comprehensive assessments to clients to stay ahead of their competition. With the help of a dedicated team, the Institute’s goal is to meet the rising tide and to ride the wave to be incredibly competitive and dynamic as we have always done.

Peggy has also been recognized by other organizations, as an industry expert. In April 2017, Hewlett Packard Enterprise named Peggy to its 20 IoT Stars you need to follow. In October 2016, Peggy was named to the Top 50 Most Influential Women in IoT by the Internet of Things Institute. In February 2016, Onalytica repeatedly ranked Peggy as a number one of the top individuals in M2M, Top 10 Internet of Things Influencers and Brands, and Top 10 Internet of things Global Influencers.
