Nana Murugesan

Nana Murugesan is Vice President and General Manager for Services and New Business at Samsung Electronics America, based at the Mountain View campus. Working across Samsung's executive leadership and reporting to the CEO, Nana steers the company’s U.S. software and services business. Focused on unlocking new growth and turnaround, Nana oversees an interdisciplinary team that combines devices with software and services into new businesses—shaping the company’s strategy, investment, commercialization, product, and monetization roadmap. He also runs the award winning Samsung Rewards loyalty platform.

Earlier, Nana served as Samsung’s Vice President for Strategy and Operations and Chief of Staff to the North America CEO. He started his career with Samsung in 2009 in the Global Strategy Group in Seoul, Korea. Prior to Samsung, he was with BCG (strategy consulting) and Cisco (product and engineering).

Nana holds a MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania—as well as a master’s degree (research) in computer engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Madras in India. He was an InSITE Fellow advising early stage startups and has received the Duke of Edinburgh’s Gold Award for community leadership. 

Nana is a frequent speaker at CES and other technology events. Recently, he was named in Wharton's 40 under 40 list and selected for McKinsey's Tech, Media, Telecom Leadership Forum.
