LG Signature OLED TV RX (Model 65RX)

Company: LG Electronics Inc.
Category: Video Displays

The 65RX is a rollable OLED TV with a screen that can roll out for viewing and roll back down when not in use.

The disappearing screen maximizes space and opens up new spatial possibilities outside of wall-mounting or the traditional TV stand. TV users can design their space without having to work around a large, black, static screen. Even in front of a window, the product can blend into the environment.

The screen automatically adjusts its size depending on the content and usage scenario, dynamically providing a new user experience. Designed to stand up to the rigor of repeated rolling and unrolling, the LG OLED TV promises to deliver superior picture quality.

The Tech Behind It

The rollable OLED TV features distinct capabilities in different view states.

  • In zero view, the TV can act as an advanced artificial intelligence (AI) smart speaker.

  • In partial view, search results are delivered in voice or video format and useful information such as the weather or a schedule can be displayed.

  • In full view, users can watch broadcast TV and play games like with a traditional TV.

The 65RX is equipped with an AI processor with built-in deep learning AI picture and AI sound to improve noise reduction, sharpen details and fine tune picture color accuracy.

Leveraging LG’s own ThinQ technology, the OLED TV also recognizes natural language, which allows users to give voice commands. Users can ask the TV to retrieve information or answer a question while they’re watching a movie or show.

The TV can analyze the context and user’s intentions and supply the appropriate information, it can also recognize gestures to enhance the user experience.

With its new flexible form, the 65RX provides mood-suitable new abilities for TV users.
