Diversity and Inclusion Across CES 2024

Overview A central theme of CES 2024, diversity and inclusion programming, networking and events are taking the spotlight in Las Vegas this January. Take a look at the highlights and be a part of the conversation.

For innovation to reach its full potential, diverse voices and perspectives must be heard and amplified for businesses in the tech industry to flourish. That’s why CES 2024 is celebrating D&I champions, founders, thought leaders and pioneers.

From conference programming to networking opportunities, policy discussions and more, CES is highlighting diversity on a grand scale. Here’s an overview of what’s in store to showcase how businesses, and the industry as a whole, are strengthened when more people from underrepresented backgrounds get a seat at the table.

Startups and Entrepreneurship

The CTA Foundation’s Accessibility Contest and the Innovation for All Startup Experience will return to CES 2024. Both programs work with U.S. and Canadian-based startups, and recipients receive a complimentary booth at CES’s Eureka Park, the show's flagship marketplace for startups.

Innovation for All Programming

CES is amplifying women and diverse voices in innovation across the conference stages. A snapshot of programming includes:

Investing in the Future of Innovation

CES 2024 will amplify CTA’s continued $10 million commitment to investing in venture firms and funds that support women- and diverse-led startups. To date, CTA has invested in ten venture funds that model passion and commitment to ensuring that the next great idea is empowered to change the world.

Sessions discussing the importance of investing in women and diverse entrepreneurs can be found on our stages. Panels of note include:

A Look at the Funding Landscape for Women and Diverse Entrepreneurs: Decreased access to funding has widely affected the tech ecosystem, especially for women and diverse-led startups who have historically faced funding barriers. Join leaders as they discuss the effects on future innovation.

LGBT Tech’s partnership with CES is a bold step toward a more inclusive and innovative future. It’s more than just a partnership; it is advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community within the tech space. Diversity is not a challenge but an indispensable catalyst for the highest levels of tech innovation.

D&I Networking and Events

A full plate of D&I activities at CES reflects the tech industry’s growing awareness of valuable new voices. This year, we look forward to partnering with LGBT Tech, The Female Quotient and Black Girl Ventures to host events and meetups centered on building a robust community for all. A partial list of CTA’s D&I events, including CES exhibitor events, is included below.
