CEA Issues Call for Entries for CES 2016 Innovation Awards
Arlington, VA – 08/10/2015
The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)® today issued a call for entries for its CES 2016 Innovation Awards.
Award entries will be accepted August 10 through September 16, 2015. The 2016 Best of Innovation Awards Honorees will be announced November 10, 2015, at CES Unveiled New York and showcased at CES® 2016 which will run January 6-9 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
CEA’s annual Innovation Awards competition honors outstanding design and engineering across a full range of 27 consumer technology categories, with one new category this year: Unmanned Systems and Accessories. Unmanned Systems will be prominently featured at CES 2016 in the Unmanned Systems Marketplace. This exhibit area will highlight the burgeoning technology in drones, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and other unmanned systems controlled by onboard computers or remotely from the ground.
The CES 2016 Innovation Awards program is open to all companies, regardless of CES exhibitor status. Products entered must debut for sale in U.S. retail outlets or on the Internet to U.S. consumers between April 1, 2015, and April 1, 2016. The first 300 entries will receive a $200 discount off of the entry fee. Products can be submitted here. Please contact InnovationAwards@CE.org with questions.
CES 2016 will feature more than 3,500 exhibitors unveiling the latest consumer technology products and services across the entire ecosystem of consumer technologies. The official name of the global technology event is “CES®.” Please do not use “Consumer Electronics Show” or “International CES” to refer to the event. For more information, visit CESweb.org.
CES is the world’s gathering place for all who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for more than 40 years—the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. As the largest hands-on event of its kind, CES features all aspects of the industry. And because it is owned and produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), the technology trade association representing the $285 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry, it attracts the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers to a forum where the industry’s most relevant issues are addressed.
