John Foley is the Founder and CEO of Peloton, a technology company at the nexus of fitness and media. One of Peloton’s products is a vertically integrated technology platform that allows consumers to take high-energy, indoor cycling classes from the convenience of their own home. Brought to the market in 2014, the Peloton bike has already been recognized as the “best cardio machine on the planet” by Men’s Health Magazine. Prior to founding Peloton, Foley served as a President at Barnes&Noble, CEO and Co-founder of Pronto.com, CEO of Evite.com and an early leader of Citysearch.com starting in 1996. Before moving to technology leadership, Foley spent 6 years in manufacturing leadership with Mars Inc. On the fitness front, Foley is a competitive cyclist and tri-athlete, and an addict of boutique group fitness classes including yoga, boot camps, and of course, indoor cycling.
